Artist residency nov – april

Published by Priscilla Haring-Kuipers on

Are you creating something in music/hardware/art ? Have a project you would like to work on?
Would you like a space to work in the middle of Amsterdam surrounded by synthesizer makers?

Excellent – we have one space available from November until April for someone to work on something interesting.

We will provide a desk in our Unit 11 in the Centrale Markthal and our collective skills, network and support as well as locally sourced vegetarian lunches. For free.

We are
This is Not Rocket Science
Vaski
Bink
Serge Jansen
We are as solarpunk as possible, we organise modular jams, CLUBSYNTH nights and various workshops. We build modular synthesizers, a factory line for keybeds and fantastic basslines. We can design hardware, assemble and solder, write manuals and ethical essays, play many synthesizers and collaborate on art projects.

Our current artist-in-residence is Daniel Maalman and his Foundscape Orchestra

Beyond helping you with your project we could use some help with our poetry synthesizer, large empty walls, building our solarpanelled picknick table and upcycling street finds into office furniture. We would expect you to be around 2-5 days a week and share in our lunch making rotation.

Interested? Please send your info, what you would want to do in six months and how you think we could help to priscilla@thisisnotrocketscience.nl

We will make a decision on 20th October
