Flying Fenixes

Things are progressing and our Fenixes are flying out the door! At this point almost 40 of our Fenixes have flown out the door to their new owners. Quite a few have landed in the USA and Canada while one is in Singapore and another lives in Mumbai. Two have Read more

FenixIV is being made

We are now IN PRODUCTION. So exciting! As I write this all the necessary PCB have been ordered, most boards and all their components are at our first assembly house and they have started. Some other boards and components have been ordered and are underway to our second assembly house. Read more

Experiment Board no 2

All the experiments on this board have been done:   The Wub – a smaller version of our Wobbler advanced lfo – is working! The chord oscillator works and we are still busy tuning it. This part needs more production optimising. The pulse output is still suspiciously quiet. The symmetry Read more

Fenix – ongoing experiments

Experiment board No 1 Our first experiment board is fully populated (1242 components) and fully functional. We used about 30/40 air wires on this board. Some are the results of copying-mistakes, somewhere we injected a chip in a signal path, while other air wires are design improvements based on being Read more

Fenix IV

Right now we are at the point where we can do our first experiments. We have gone through most of the original design schematics, we have ideas and we have some of these ideas figured out in new schematics that we can test in physical form. Although everything is open Read more

Fenix on fire again

We have been working together with SyntoNovo (aka Synton) on the development of their PAN project and during this collaboration we got our hands on a Fenix II. Man, do we love this synth. It sounds bloody amazing and the insides are an audio-electronic-engineering marvel by master builder Bert Vermeulen. Read more
